Following the successful event in June, the retro sustainable concept of 'Old But Gold HK' will once again return to Central Market. Starting from 13 December, Central Market will transform into the 'Central Market x Old But Gold Retro Sustainable Christmas Market', exuding retro charm and eco-spirit. This is not only one of the largest retro markets in Hong Kong, but also a meaningful green Christmas event. The market embodies the 'Playground for All' concept of Central Market by harnessing community power to promote circular fashion and social inclusion. Central Market has meticulously curated a series of programmes spanning three floors, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of sustainable living while searching for gifts. Everyone is invited to join us for a unique treasure-hunting journey and a warm Christmas celebration.
Three-story Treasure Hunt: A Perfect Blend of Nostalgia, Environmentalism, and Fashionable Fun
The 'Central Market x Old But Gold Retro Sustainable Christmas Market', spread across three floors, features different themed areas on each level, seamlessly merging winter warmth with exploration delights and surprises around every corner.
Step into the Oasis on the ground floor of Central Market and be instantly enveloped in festive cheer. From 13 December 2025 to 1 January 2026, the Oasis will be transformed into a retro-style market. Adorned with captivating festive arch decorations and adorable snowman displays, along with heartwarming vintage setups, it offers the perfect photo opportunity. The highlight is the rows of red-and-white wooden stalls exuding classic Christmas charm, creating a vibrant European market atmosphere. These stalls offer a variety of festive surprises, including Christmas-themed cookies, handcrafted delicacies, and intricately designed holiday gifts for your shopping pleasure. During the event, interactive booth games such as Christmas ring toss and milk can bag toss will be set up in the Oasis.
The event venue on the first floor will provide the most engaging interactive experiences, seamlessly blending eco-consciousness with fashionable fun. One of the main attractions, the 'Old But Gold Clothing Swap', will take place from 15 to 17 December, encouraging participants to refresh their wardrobes by swapping pre-loved garments, thus embodying the essence of circular fashion. Additionally, Old But Good has collected donated clothing for the victims of the Tai Po Wong Fuk Court fire. All proceeds from the sale of these donated items and those contributed by participants during the event will be donated to the fire victims, adding a deeper significance to this clothing swap initiative.
Subsequently, from 18 to 28 December 2025, the venue will host the 'Old But Gold Christmas Retro Flea Market'. This market caters to vintage and fashion enthusiasts, featuring multiple local vintage fashion brands such as the popular Midwest Vintage, as well as a range of nostalgic collectibles, accessories, and lifestyle products, offering unique gift options that infuse the holidays with retro flair. KOL @smile_bell_, with her second-hand fashion store Asian Angel, will also be in attendance, providing a rich selection of retro fashion finds. Moreover, visitors won't want to miss the one-of-a-kind movie costumes presented once again in collaboration with Light2Up. These costumes, which have graced the silver screen, will be available for direct purchase, allowing them to continue their story in the fashion realm and emanate unique value. On selected dates, Fader Crew will further enhance the atmosphere with energetic DJ performances.
From 13 December 2025 to 1 January 2026, the 24-hour pedestrian passage on the second floor of Central Market will simultaneously host a distinctive market selling various holiday gifts and lifestyle products. The market will feature the participation of the popular Korean brand grrrr.official, adding a splash of color to the event. During the Christmas holidays (24 to 26 December 2025), a special Taiwan pop-up zone will be set up on the second floor atrium bridge of Central Market, introducing unique Taiwanese brands to elevate the festivities. Four carefully selected Taiwanese brands will showcase their distinctive products and handmade crafts, including the adorable-themed Woolen Wonderland, the healing handmade creations of Komori Mono, the designer brand Micro Awareness, and the creative cultural goods of Zuzudam, infusing your shopping journey with Taiwanese creative flair.
Spreading Love: Shop and Do Good, Jointly Promoting Social Inclusion
This time, 'Old But Gold HK' has collaborated with 'Charity Without Borders Foundation' to promote social inclusion through an innovative charitable model, reflecting the 'Playground for All' ethos of Central Market. From 13 to 22 December, the 'Good Salesperson: Empowerment Programme for Youth with Special Needs' will be implemented at the festive market on the ground floor Oasis, providing special needs school graduates with an opportunity to participate in charity sales. After deducting costs, all proceeds will be donated to the 'Transport Subsidy Scheme for Wheelchair Users with Rare Diseases', offering these youth practical job skills training while promoting social inclusion and grassroots employment. Therefore, every purchase not only supports environmental protection but also gives back to the community. We invite all citizens to visit Central Market and join us for this event that merges fashion, eco-consciousness, inclusion, and compassion, creating a warm winter for all.
Craft a Heartwarming Christmas: Floral Workshops for a Sentimental Holiday
Central Market has meticulously curated two hands-on workshops, inviting everyone to craft unique rituals for the holidays. In the 'Christmas Wreath Workshop', participants will use noble fir, cedar, cypress, and eucalyptus leaves as base materials to create dazzling Christmas wreaths, easily approachable even for beginners in floral arrangement. In the 'Mini Christmas Tree Workshop', under the guidance of instructors, participants will string together pine branches, light strings, and small ornaments to illuminate their Christmas spirit.
